Compassion can show up in many forms. Sometimes it looks like a warm place to land. Sometimes it is access to medical care. Sometimes it is simply being seen, heard, and treated with dignity during a difficult season of life.
Through our Art of Compassion initiative, we believe hospitality is bigger than the table. We believe hospitality is about caring for our communities and supporting the organizations doing the hard, heart-centered work every single day.
This month, we are honored to spotlight one of those organizations: Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministries.

HCCM’s mission is simple, but powerful: guided by faith, they offer hope, health, and healing through empowerment and collaboration. Their vision is rooted in fostering independence, healing, and transformation for all – not just temporary relief, but lasting change.
What makes their work so meaningful is how deeply their values shape everything they do. They serve with compassion and humility, and believe every person deserves dignity. At GHCCM, people are seen as neighbors worthy of care and respect.

GHCCM meets individuals and families at some of their most vulnerable moments. Their services include:
- Crisis Assistance for those facing urgent financial hardship
- Medical and Dental Clinics that provide critical care
- Low- to – No – Cost pharmacy services that make prescriptions accessible
- Life Education Programs that empower long term stability
- Laundry and Shower Services for those experiencing housing insecurity
- And perhaps most importantly, compassionate human connection.
They are a place to turn to when life feels heavy, and they show up to help lighten the load.

That’s why we are especially excited to support GHCCM’s upcoming annual fundraiser, a joyful evening that brings the community together for a meaningful cause.
This year’s celebration is St. Patrick’s Day themed gala. Happening on Saturday March 14 at 6:00 at Moretz Mill’s 74 South, guests can look forward to a festive evening filled with celebration connection, and purpose, with food proudly provided and sponsored by Imagine One Hospitality.
Real change happens when a community shows up for one another. Here’s to compassion in action!
