The Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) Foundation, Inc. is excited to announce START: A Celebration of CVCC Student Artists and a testament to the power of community college education. START is an evening gala showcasing the talents and skills of CVCC students in the disciplines of music, theatre, and visual arts.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served while attendees enjoy entertainment by CVCC music and theatre students, explore the student visual arts display, peruse the Silent Auction, and participate in a hands-on visual arts project to be donated to a local charity following the event.
Funds raised through the event will support the CVCC Fine Arts programs and help them purchase needed equipment to enhance program offerings. Some of their needs include instruments for the Jazz and Concert Ensembles, Costumes and Sound Equipment for Theatre, and an Art Trailer to serve as a mobile Art Gallery showcasing the work of CVCC Visual Arts students.
