The goals of the 2023 CVFA center on exposing arts that flavor our shared cultural experiences to a wide array of audiences throughout the local area, the greater Catawba Valley and beyond. To accomplish this, the CVFA offers unique, inclusive performances of live music that captures the voice of Catawba County; visual art exhibits that display the color and texture of the region; literary events that impart the character of the area, and participatory opportunities that promote expression of the art in each of us, all at no charge to the public. Uniquely, the 2023 CVFA focuses on:

  • Supporting & exposing the creative works of diverse artists and performers that are the voice, color and composition of the Catawba Valley.
  • Developing, fostering & extending collaboration with inclusive organizations and corporate sponsorships to reach audiences of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities.
  • Supporting outcomes with collaborative partners: Downtown Newton Development Association (NC Makers Market), Lenoir-Rhyne University (The Art of Compassion Symposium), the Historical Association of Catawba County, the Catawba County Main Library, in addition to other Downtown Newton local businesses on the Square.
